Wow what a great season 2022 was!
The 125th celebration event was a huge success thanks to Roberta Tenney, Virginia Adams and their committee. The event was sold out and we had many who just came later to enjoy the incredible music. The format change to ensure a covid safe event was also a positive decision with no new cases reported. The event was a success both financially and for member enjoyment.
We hosted four weddings and housed another. These weddings were pre- and post-season and proved to be very beneficial to the financial well-being of the Club. So beneficial that the board approved the policy of hosting sponsored events (ONLY IN PRE-AND POST-SEASON). This will allow members to share with friends and other extended family, the ability to host weddings, family reunions and events of this nature in the off-season. All sponsored events must be approved by the Board. Please contact me regarding scheduling an event at 717-917-4208.
Lastly, after much thought and discussion with my family I have decided to retire June 15th of 2023.
I want to thank the membership for welcoming Lee, Kat and I into the SPC family from day one. It has been a privilege to work with the Board for the last eight years. Their untiring efforts to make the club a hub for the community and members is just outstanding. I could not have done my job without their help. The club is truly blessed to have members who care so much.
I am not going anywhere just yet. I will be assisting in the search for my successor and making sure that this transition goes smoothly. I have also offered to come back for large events to help anyway I can. Staffing big events is always a challenge. See you in the Spring.
