Celebration Opens Sunday 4pm with Reception My art has no rhyme or reason when I begin; oftentimes a conversation or a memory will trigger a spark to paint, and more often I just feel like mixing acrylics. I love chunking colors on canvas and then overthinking the little lineS while reminding myself to not take it too seriously... or anything else for that matter! Celebration Opens Sunday 4pm with Reception Stefan Pastuhov grew up in Harvard, Massachusetts. He graduated from the American School in Paris and returned to the U.S., where he received his BFA from Tufts University and the Boston School Museum School of Fine Arts. After a lifetime interest in history of art, Katie Blair started puttering with paint in retirement. Twelve years later she is a self-taught landscape artist working in oil and pastel. She regularly paints collaboratively with artist friends who act as motivators and mentors. The coast of Maine and marshes of Massachusetts are her inspiration. |

Opens Sunday 4pm with Reception I am a photographer and writer living on Bald Mt in Camden Maine. This affords me a birds-eye view of weather advancing toward and retreating from Camden and Rockport harbors. I often choose to shoot in the mystery of fog. For me, it elicits a silence, a quieting of the mind, that makes my wanderings magical. See more of Kit's art on Instagram www.instagram.com/kitaroneau |

Opens Sunday 4pm with Reception (Details to come for Barbara Materna) JOHN WHIPPLE: Paintings that appeal most to me have three qualities: beauty, craft, and intrigue. The measure of beauty is that I want to hang them on my wall and live with them. Craft means to me that they can’t be made by just anyone: they go beyond a photograph or a digital image; they are more intentional than a random bunch of lines or colors. Intrigue includes mystery, humor, emotion, and an invitation [...] |
