Italian Night Dinner/Music Night

Enjoy an intimate after-dinner jazz duo concert with music of Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jobim, Brubeck and more. Saxophonist Cercie Miller will join Neil in a round of subtle improvisations based on familiar tunes of the American songbook. Come hear some great music or participate if you are so inclined! Bring a friend!

MUSICIANS Neil Olmstead, piano & Cercie Miller, saxophone

Jazz pianist Neil Olmstead has shared the stage with Teddy Wilson, Adam Markovic, Sammy Price, Dave McKenna. He has performed with The Jimmy Giuffre Quartet and The Moody Blues. He has appeared at the Umbria Jazz Festival and on National Public Radio. Neil is Professor Emeritus of Piano at Berklee College of Music, Boston.

Alto Saxophonist Cercie Miller Saxophonist, composer and bandleader Cercie Miller has been called a “versatile stylist with a penchant for melody as well as a take-no-prisoners streak that shows itself on her slashing alto solos” (Boston Herald). She has appeared widely in clubs, concert halls and festivals including Blues Alley, the Boston Globe Jazz Festival, Kansas Jazz Society, Portsmouth Jazz Festival and many others. The list of her many well-known collaborators includes Tiger Okoski, Herb Pomeroy, Fred Hersch, Deborah Henson-Conant, and Dominique Eade. The Cercie Miller Quartet have released two CDS: “Dedication” (Stash Records) and “Blue Vistas” (Jazz Project). Recently retired as Associate Ear Training Professor at Berklee College, Cercie is the Director of Jazz and World Music at Wellesley College, and Professor of Ear Training at Berklee Online.
