It’s April… which means summer is almost here! The Small Point Club is being made ready to welcome another season of members to our favorite place on Earth.

This summer we are celebrating the Club’s “Quasquicentennial” for the 125 years since its incorporation. Summer of 2021 marked an impressive comeback for the Club, after a challenging year.  The success of the Clubhouse this past summer is a wonderful example of the dedicated community here in Small Point. Despite the assaults of time and weather over the last hundred plus years, the Club has returned as that charming and inviting place to gather with friends and family to celebrate the summer traditions that sustain us as a community.

The Small Point Club annual meeting was held last Sunday. I realize that most of you could not attend and wanted to give you a small taste of what was said. Manager Bob Kennedy and Chef Rob have given us a summer to remember. A full time staff of four and two part time employees did the work of a staff that should have been double that number. 300 plus guests have stayed at the Club. What do we get when we mix lights, music, dancing, a very elegantly boxed, delicious picnic dinner of lobster, filet of beef, and mixed berry tart with an enthusiastic, fun loving group of folks?
